Dr. Cole Younger

Dr. Cole Younger is originally from Baton Rouge, LA, and learned to love good food and music at an early age. He grew up listening to everything from Miles Davis to The Beatles and spent hours learning the piano and in the kitchen with his grandmother (mostly eating, but also learning!). As an adult, he is still an avid music lover and occasionally travels back to New Orleans with his family to enjoy the best seafood and Creole cuisine in the world.

Dr. Younger has dedicated years of his continuing education to learning how to accurately diagnose and treat the dental issues and needs of his patients in a friendly, comforting way. He works with the best specialists in the area and even meets every month with multiple groups and study clubs specifically created to collaborate on highly-technical treatment and the latest updates on patient care.

Creating beautiful smiles and keeping his patients happy and healthy are Dr. Younger’s passions. He and his team strive every day to make Smithfield smile! He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Raleigh Wake County Dental Society, the Seattle Study Club, and is a Fellow with the International Dental Implant Association.

Dr. Younger met his wife, Layne, when they were freshmen at Louisiana State University. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at LSU while Dr. Younger attended LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans. After graduation, they decided to move to the beautiful state of North Carolina and have since been blessed with five amazing children who love everything North Carolina has to offer. In the summer, they enjoy traveling to the incredible towns and beaches along our coast, and in the winter, you can find them in the Carolina mountains.

Smithfield Family Dentistry has cared for the patients of Smithfield, NC for almost 40 years. 

Our office is nestled in a quiet wooded lot with peaceful views of the surrounding trees.

We are next door to Smithfield City Florist and across the street from Brightleaf Commons at 910 S. Brightleaf Blvd. in Smithfield, NC.
